OUR STORY

1960 - 1969
ALGAFLEX’s story starts on 1 January 1960, when the company was founded by Mrs Monique BOZELLEC and Mr Jean BOZELLEC. ALGAFLEX devoted its first 10 years of existence to the manufacture and commercialisation of folding partitions made of fabric, wood, PVC and plexiglass. At that time, the factory was in Agnelas. As space there was tight, we built a new factory in Saint-Blaise-du-Buis.
1970
Yves Bozellec ALGAFLEXYves BOZELLEC joins the company in January 1971 as Manager of Movable Walls, after spending several months in the United States, at UHFCOR in Wisconsin, receiving training in the production and installation of movable walls.

"The initial years were spent spreading the word about the benefits of Movable Walls beyond the hotel market, which was the first to specify this product at that time. We had to let our potential specifiers and clients realise the economic benefits of the configurability of spaces. " (YB)

1980
Development of ALGAFLEX’s own extensive sales network. First salaried sales representative in the Paris region. Then more and more sales representatives. Development of the first movable walls with fire-barrier properties, with the CTICM laboratory in Maizières-lès-Metz.
1984
We were the first to obtain a 1/2-hour fire-resistance certification.
1988
1-hour and even 2- and 3-hour fire-resistance certification, for the CNIT site at La Défense. The company grows considerably. Leader in France.
1995
We presented the first semi-automatic partition, which we recently modernised to give it the fastest locking mechanism on the market: MURAUTO.
2011
Yves Bozellec ALGAFLEXGaëlle BOZELLEC , Yves BOZELLLEC’s daughter, joins the company.

In Gaëlle’s own words:
"In late 2011, I joined ALGAFLEX. As an engineer with an academic background in industrial process engineering, I had spent 8 years working in the area of industrial wastewater treatment and energy, as project engineer, business engineer and then branch manager.
At the end of 2011, I was appointed Operations Manager at ALGAFLEX to determine cost prices for our products. This helped me familiarise myself with the entire product life cycle, from the initial quotation through to handover and the after-sales service.
In 2012, we introduced the collective agreement for the Metallurgy sector at ALGAFLEX, MOBIMUR and TECHNOPAR and simultaneously created the Human Resources Department.
This was the start of the classification of employees and was a big step forward in terms of each individual’s rights.
At the end of 2012, we left HUFCOR, so we were no longer licensed, and thus, were free to develop internationally. This marked the start of our work in Europe (Spain and Italy).
In April 2016, I became CEO of ALGAFLEX.
In 2018, the separate entities of ALGAFLEX, TECHNOPAR and MOBIMUR merged to form a single business called ALGAFLEX.
At the same time, a CSE (Social and Economic Committee) was created.
Today, I am proud to continue the story of ALGAFLEX with teams who are so loyal and committed on a daily basis.”
2015
Creation of a new lighter product suitable for lighter supporting structures. ZEPHYR.
